DiaVista was created through the collaboration of Philadelphia natives Anthony B. Miles, a US Navy Trident Nuclear Submarine Force Veteran, and Dr. Chelise Firmin, a dedicated Optometrist, along with New York native Jennifer K. Marin, a Fashion Expert and Chief Creative Officer.
Their combined expertise in precision engineering, ocular health, and fashion design has resulted in eyewear that truly addresses the needs of everyone.
Anthony’s background in precision engineering and experience in the US Navy’s Trident Nuclear Submarine Force instilled in him a deep understanding of the importance of accuracy and durability. His commitment to excellence is reflected in every pair of DiaVista glasses.
With over 11 years of optometry experience and a thriving practice serving more than 5,000 patients, Dr. Chelise Firmin is a dedicated advocate for enhancing eye health, particularly for those living with diabetes. Her extensive knowledge and firsthand understanding of the unique visual challenges faced by diabetic adults and children fuel her passion for innovation in eyewear.
Dr. Firmin is also set to lead as CEO of the upcoming 18,629 sq ft Medical Device Manufacturing Facility and Center for Pediatric & Adult Diabetes in her hometown of Philadelphia. Providing much needed jobs in the area, this state-of-the-art facility, adjacent to one of the city's largest health systems, will be a hub for pioneering diabetic eye care and education to the community.
Jennifer, our Fashion Expert and Chief Creative Officer, is a Vassar College graduate with over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, complemented by a background in psychology. She ensures that DiaVista eyewear is both functional and stylish.
